For my web venture, I decided to create an escape room. The game begins by asking the player to choose a door to start their journey.
Following this initial decision, the player is taken through a series of pages where they must solve riddles to progress further in the game. Each page has a new riddle for the player to solve. In order to solve the riddle, the player must click on the correct item that answers the riddle. I really enjoyed creating this project as I made a list of riddles I liked and based my pages off of the riddles. Researching and gathering riddles was surprisingly the most difficult part of the process. I narrowed down my choices to only include riddles that are made for children so that the escape room was not too difficult to navigate through. A majority of my pages were a combination of images and gifs which proved to be quite difficult as well. Finding the right images to make my compositions was very time consuming but overall, I am pretty happy with the pages I built myself.
In the future, I think I'd like to create something that would be better transferable to different desktop views such as smaller laptops and phones. Because I created the majority of my pages in a large desktop view, my linking shapes kept shifting out of place when I would preview in other modes. I'd have to do some research on how to fix this in the future so that my web venture can be more accessible across platforms.
